41. Saint Christopher

Catholics often keep the Order of St. Christopher in their cars, wallets, suitcases, or carry one with them. Saint Christopher is the patron saint of travelers; He is depicted carrying a child on his shoulder and walking with a cane. This medal is believed to bring blessings to travelers and protect them from storms, floods, and natural disasters.

42. North Star

The North Star, also known as the Navigation Star, provides guidance for sailors and travelers at sea. It is also known as the Star of Bethlehem, guiding the Three Wise Mines. The Old Testament depicted the starry sky as representing the descendants of Abraham, leading people towards the promised land.

43. Eye of Evil

The Eye of Evil is famous in many cultures - it can ward off evil spirits, is usually worn as a talisman, jewelry, and placed as a token around houses. Carrying or wearing evil eyes can actually prevent the eyes themselves - just like a mirror reflecting/repelling the negative energy (jealousy) of the user. This is a powerful protective talisman commonly found in Mediterranean countries.

In many cultures and religions, seven is considered a lucky number. In Christianity, 7 represents self sacrifice and virtue, often mentioned in the Bible (the seven lamps of the temple, seven wise and seven foolish maidens, Christ feeding five bread and two fish). Early Christianity taught to believe in the seven gifts of God (wisdom, understanding, nobility, glory, blessings, power, and piety). People also believe that the seventh son and seventh daughter have talent: healing and interpreting dreams (respectively).

The wishing well encourages the common tradition of throwing coins or tokens of good luck into the fountain to make wishes. In many ancient civilizations, dedicating oneself to a well meant that it would never dry up - and so did the ocean. Ancient culture often pays tribute to the ocean in the form of gifts. In Rome, it is common to offer three coins to the sea.
